Heather and two of her friends, Matt Kolstoe and Sarina Seger were killed when the car they were in crossed the median and struck a vehicle heading in the opposite direction. The driver of the other vehicle and the immediate passenger were killed. The small children in their backseat are in serious condition at the time of this posting.
Heather Danielle Comstock 19, of Okemos was taken home to heaven unexpectedly on Sunday. She was born September 24, 1991 in Ft. Collins, CO to Josh and Holly Comstock. A 2010 graduate of Okemos High School, she was currently attending University of Michigan studying Molecular Bio Chemistry-focusing on the study of stem cell research and organ transplant engineering. Heather was a very determined, hardworking person, who had a wonderful sense of humor. She was very energetic. Heather loved animals and sports; especially soccer. She was involved in many programs including the National Honor Society. She maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her education career. Heather tutored many students. She was a person that believed if she put her mind to something, she would achieve it. She was a very loving and accepting person who had a zest for life will be greatly missed. She was a friend to everyone she met.
Heather is survived by her parents, Josh and Holly; paternal grandmother Morgan Comstock; maternal grandparents Hawley and Dorothy Ansell; great-aunt Janice Sterkel; uncles Kevin (Erin) Comstock and their children: Aidan, Gavin, Corbin, and Rilyn, Jeff (Connie) Ansell and their children: Katrina and J.J. Heather went on to Heaven with her special friends Matthew Kolstoe and Sarina Seger. Funeral services were held Friday, October 15, 2010.
