DAVID BOURGOIS DIES AT DENVER

PFC David Bourgois, 20-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Bourgois, well-known Burleigh County residents who farm northwest of Bismarck, died Tuesday morning in Fitzsimmonds General Hospital at Denver, Colo., following a short-term illness.

Private Bourgois enlisted in the U.S. Army in October of 1964 and had been stationed in Korea and had been stationed i Korea since last November. He was returned to the Army hospital at Denver early this month.

Mr. and Mrs. Bourgois, who have been with their son, were en route home Wednesday.

The body is being returned to Bismarck for funeral services and burial. (Boelter Funeral Home)

DAVID BOURGOIS RITES Saturday

Funeral services PFC David A. Bourgois, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Bourgois, rural Bismarck, will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. George's Episcopal Church by the Rev. A. E. Smith.

Pallbearers will be Walter V. Martin, William Buckmeyer, Fred Larson, Larry Hoge, Charles Thompson and Donald Hoge. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Private Bourgois died Tuesday in Fitsimmonds General Hospital at Denver after a brief illness. He had been stationed in Korea, where he was an instructor in the Helicopter Maintenance Branch of the U.S. Army, until early this month when he was returned to the hospital at Denver.

A native of Bismark, Private Bourgois was born April 25, 1945. His mother is the former Dorothy Thistlethwaite. He was graduated from Bismarck High School and attended Calvert County Preparatory School at Prince Frederick, Md., before enlisting in the Army in 1964. He had been stationed in Korea since November.

In addition to his parents, Private Bourgois leaves his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Sadie Kendall, Jamestown; one brother, Roger, Bismarck; and three sisters, Mrs. Herschel (Javis) Klueter, Adelphi, Md.; Mrs. Georges (Virginia) Rouleau Jr., Port Republic, Md., and Mrs. William P. (Sally) Pratt Jr., St. Paul.
