GREENVILLE ADVOCATE - 26OCT1942 - "AUNT" LIZA ELLSWORTH, 84, DIES EARLY TODAY AT HOME IN MULBERRY GROVE
Mrs. Louisa Ann Ellsworth, 84, a life-time resident of Mulberry Grove, familiarly known as "Aunt" Liza, died at her home there between 4 & 7 o'clock this morning, she having died in her sleep. Her daughter was up at 4 o'clock & Mrs. Ellsworth was alive at that time. She had been ill from chronic myocarditis & complications & had been confined to her bed for 2 weeks.
An obituary was not abtainable this morning not had any funeral plans been announced.

GREENVILLE ADVOCATE - 29OCT1942 - FUNERAL OF MRS. LOUISA A. ELLSWORTH, 84, HELD WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
Funeral services for Mrs. Louisa A. Ellsworth, who was found dead in bed at her home at Mulberry Grove at 7 a.m., Monday as noted in The Advocate of that day, were conducted at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Mulberry Grove Free Methodist church, the Rev. Lowry Penrod, the pastor, officiating. Interment was made at the Mulberry Grove cemetery. The Runnells Funeral Home was in charge.
Mrs. Ellsworth who was a life-long resident of the Co. was born near Mulberry Grove 08Oct1858 & was aged 84 years & 18 days at the time of her death. She was the daughter of John & Jane (Spradling) Segrest. She was united in marriage to Milton Ellsworth on 30Dec1876 at Greenville. Mr. Ellsworth passed away in 1823. Surviving this union are 2 sons, Emery of Fayette Co. & John of Mansfield, OH; & 4 daughters, Mrs. Jennie McGulion of Decatur, Mrs. Carrie Clark of Kansas City, MO, Mrs. Mary Sullivan of St. Louis & Mrs. Rosa Roberts of E. St. Louis. Two daughters have preceded the mother in death. One brother, John Segrest of Mulberry Grove also survives.
Mrs. Ellsworth was a member of the Mulberry Grove Free Methodist church having united with that denomination in early girlhood.
