Rev. Frederick E. Hehr was the husband of Sarah (Henny) Hehr. He came to America in 1856. Rev. Hehr was a minister in the New York Conference of the Evangelical Association Church. He was Ordained Deacon at Lafargeville, New York March 1870 by Bishop Jacob J. Escher. He was ordained Elder at Buffalo Station (First) Church March 1872 by Bishop Reuben Yaekel.
