James Fountain (Jim) Adey, 61-year-old farmer and timber operator, died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday, Sept. 27, near his home about seven miles north of Houston near Arthurs Creek.

Mr. Adey had lived virtually all of his life in the same community where he owned a large farm. He was the son of Francis Marion (Buddy) and Mandy Tosh Adey. He was married to Bessie Bates Adey on July 13, 1949.

He is survived by his wife, a step-son, George Delbert Adey; five sisters, Bertha Adey, Pearl Adey, Ila Adey and Mrs. Dora Bridges all of Houston and Mrs. Victoria Hicks of Licking.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Sept. 29 at the Arthurs Creek Church with Don Brower officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Evans Funeral Home.
