The deceased was born in the town of Middlebury in 1832. in February 1853, she was united in marriage to George R. VanBuren of this place, and had since resided upon the farm where she died. Mr. VanBuren died in June 1900. One son, Romayne M. VanBuren, two daughters, Miss Hattie and Miss Sabrina VanBuren, with two sisters, survive her.
Her funeral was held from her late home, Rev. R. E. Brettle officiating. interment being made in Maplewood Cemetery. Mrs. VanBuren was much respected by a large circle of acquaintances. Of domestic tastes she was much devoted to her home and family where her chief delight was to minister.
