CATHERINE RUTH RUTLAND
The funeral of Miss Catherine Ruth Rutland, aged 14, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Rutland, 2610 Colonial Avenue, who died last Saturday night, was held yesterday afternoon at the home. Many of her little schoolmates attended and there was a profusion of floral offerings from these and other friends. After the services many followed the body to Oakland Cemetery where it was laid in its last resting place and the grave strewn with flowers.
Miss Rutland died after a very brief illness. The day of her death she had not been feeling well, but her condition was not believed to be serious. Late in the afternoon she took a turn for the worse, and efforts to save her were unavailing.
