OBITUARY: Herbert Lee Brasher, 1103 Ross Ave., died at his home Thursday night. He was a retired carpenter, a member of Local 1683 for 15 years, and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. J. C. McDonald, Ft. Worth, Tex., Mrs. J. E. Whatley, Bossier City, La., Miss LaVonne Brasher, August, S.C., three sons, H. L. Brasher, Tampa, Fla., Melvin Brasher, Luling, La., Elvin Brasher, Dallas, Tex.; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Immanuel Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. W. Haskill Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Laran (Nelson) Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. The body will be at the funeral home until one hour before.
