She was born on March 16, 1860 to Peter Lawley West & Virena Clementine Gill (my 2nd great grandparents). Emma was sister to my great grandfather: Robert Milam West.
Emma's mother, Virena Clementine Gill-West, died while visiting Emma in her Houston home on January 25, 1909. She was buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Houston, Harris county, Texas (owned by Emma's daughter's Furman family (Buelah May Hudgins-Furman/Fuhrman).
Emma married William Andrew Hudgins on January 7, 1880 in Ft Bend County, Texas (likely on her dad's property which in those years had a church on her father's property which was adjacent to the Snake Creek Cemetery which still stands today on private property).
Emma and Andrew had at least 8 known children.
