Dorothy was a graduate of Lincoln High School class of 1955. Dorothy was a lifetime member of Memorial Baptist Church where she served on the mother's board. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Lodge. Dorothy was employed by EVSC as a bus driver for over 27 years.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Connie L. Baltzell Sr., her parents, and brothers: Charles, Henry, Robert and James and sister; Alice Weatherford.
She is survived by her brother Nathaniel Weatherford, (7) sons; Rev. Connie L. (Debra) Baltzell Jr. of Evansville IN, Byron T. Baltzell Sr. of Houston TX, Nathan R. Baltzell of Evansville IN, Morrie K. ( Carol) Baltzell of Pauls Valley OK, Quintin U. Baltzell Sr. of Evansville IN, Gary and Kenneth McGuire both of Evansville IN, (2) daughters; Natalie McGuire and Kimberly Bushrod also of Evansville IN, (45) grandchildren, (2) great-grandchildren and (1) great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. Adrian M. Brooks Sr. officiating. Burial immediately following service at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Osborne Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements.
