Her obituary in the Greensboro News and Record, April 19, 1987, provides that Mrs. Bostic died at her home at 1407 Brandt Street.

Survivors were shown to be her husband, Joe E. Bostic Sr.; sons, Joe Bostic Jr. of St. Louis, Jeff Bostic of Washington D.C.; brothers, Parrish Bates of Browns Summit, Collie Bates of Greensboro, Thornton Bates Jr. of Reidsville; sister Mrs. Grady Bishop of Browns Summit, and three grandchildren.
