Ellen Marie London, 92, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, in Johnstown. She was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget (Fitzpatrick) McGinnis.
She was married to Clark Henry London, who preceded her in death in 1999.
Mrs. London was a life member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church, Punxsutawney, and a volunteer of the Red Cross for more than 30 years.
She was a very pleasant and loving person, and her highest priority was her family, children and grandchildren.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mary Ann Gress and husband Dr. Gordon of Johnstown; a son, Daniel London and Louella Puopolo of Virginia Beach, Va.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jack London; and seven brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Johnstown.
A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross, 250 Jari Dr., Johnstown Pa. 15904.
