Junice O. "June" Pederson, 89, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, died on Monday, April 2, 2012, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley, Wisconsin.
June was born on December 19, 1922, in the Town of Naples, Wisconsin, to Benny and Bertha (Julson) Risen. She graduated from Mondovi High School in Mondovi, Wisconsin, in 1941.
On June 20, 1942, she married Percy Pederson at the Norden Lutheran Church. She worked for Lasker Jewelers for 25 years, retiring from there in 1985. June was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and active at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
June is survived by her son, Gregory (Nancy) Pederson; grandchildren, Tara Moen, Trisha (Bob) Pichla, Ashley (fiance, Ches Winters) and Dakota Pederson; great-grandchildren, Reid Moen, Destiny Pichla, Serina Pichla and Koi Moen; sisters, Ethel Keefer and Doris Bell; brother, Roger (Mary) Risen; sister-in-law, Elaine Pederson; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy; sister, Irene Sather; and brothers, Lenny Risen and Allard Risen.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave. in Eau Claire with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating.
Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.
Burial will be at Norden Cemetery in the Town of Naples, rural Eleva, Wisconsin.
