John William Grumiaux, Jr., aged 29, died at a local hospital last night at 7:55 o'clock. He was a native of LeRoy, N.Y., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 20 years. He was associated with the Colonial Oil Company as station manager at the time of his death. He was the son of J. W. and the late Mrs. Bertha Blackman Grumiaux, and, in addition to his father, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nita James Cofer Grumiaux; a son, John William Grumiaux, 3d; two sisters, Mrs. D. C. Carr, Norfolk, and Mrs. Howard C. Beyers, Maplewood, N.J., and a brother, William Ellsworth Grumiaux, Norfolk. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 631 Westover avenue, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. sparks W. Melton, D. D., pastor of the Freemason Street Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
