Mrs. Dorothy H. Taylor, of Augusta, died on, Tuesday, October 5, 2010. She was 88 years old.

A private service was held, and the burial will be at Columbia Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia at a later date.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughter, Sheree Gatliff of Augusta; three grandchildren, Pete Donaldson and his wife, Jennifer, of Inwood, West Virginia, David Donaldson and his wife, Michelle, and John Donaldson of Martinsburg, West Virginia; eight great grandchildren, Kimberly, Dylan, Morgan, Corbin, Austin, Skylar, Layla, and Willow. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn A. Taylor in 1984; her son, Glenn Walter Taylor; her son-in-law, Ben Douglas Gatliff, in 2005.

Mrs. Taylor was very active in community service, and had been voted "neighbor of the year" in Wheaton, Maryland. Her spiritual life was very important, and she enjoyed taking part in the activities at the Methodist Church she attended in Maryland and also helping with many church activities at her friends churches as well. She was a devoted wife, loving Mother and caring, loyal friend.

For memorials, the family suggests Hospice of Augusta or the LAMBDA Legal Defense Fund.
