Charley was born February 19, 1883 on Kings Prairie which was a short way from Monett, MO. He married Bertha A. Parkison on October 24, 1904. They had two children, Marion Lewis born August 24, 1905 and Iva Edith born February 1, 1907. Bertha passed away just 10 days after Iva's birth. Charley's parents helped raise his son and his sister Trillie raised Iva. Charley married Pearl Lane in 1915 and divorced sometime after 1920. They had one daughter Althea Paulene born in 1914 but I am still looking for confirmation on this.

My dad (Willard Charles Sitts) spent a lot of time at his great grandparents house as a young boy where his granddad (Charley) lived and had many fond memories of his granddad.

Charley passed away on June 8, 1950 and was laid to rest at the Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri on June 12, 1950.
