FLORA — Helen R. Rinehart, 84, Flora, former deputy and radio operator for Clay County Sheriff's office, died Monday (Nov. 14, 2005).

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Burial: Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville.
Memorials: American Diabetes Association.

Helen R. Rinehart, 84, died at 6.42 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2005, at Good Samaritan RHC in Mt. Vernon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Bill Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville.

Mrs. Rinehart was born October 28,1921, in Albion, the daughter of Wallace and Louella (Walker) Colyer. She married Charles E. Duke in 1947 in Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on February 4,1958. She married Norman Rinehart on July 6,1970, in Olney. He survives.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Flora and EverReady Sunday School Class. She was also past Chairman of Clay County Republican Women and a past member and Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Rinehart enjoyed cooking, crafts and collecting Beanie Babies.

She is survived by her husband, of Flora; four children, Billie Jean Duke and Charles Duke, both of Olney, David Duke and his wife, Jeanne, of Louisville, and Wayne Duke and his wife, Betsy, of Salem; three stepchildren, Michael Rinehart and his wife, Sharon, of Flora, Eric Rinehart and his wife, Penny, of Springfield, and James Rinehart and his wife, Brenda, of Flora; two brothers, Donald Colyer, of Albion, and Dale Colyer of Morgantown, W.Va.; three sisters, Eva Lambert, of Albion, Gail Rusk and her husband, Don, of Noble, and Lois Skelton, of Olney; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Colyer Duke, Julie Endsley and her husband, Clint, Benjamin, Jonathan, Caleb, Aaron and Titus Duke, Abby Lowery and her husband, Josh, and Nathan and Jordan Duke; seven step-grandchildren, Jason, Justin, James, Jonathan, William Eric, Lacey, Katy and Dena Rinehart; two step-great-grandchildren, Marcus and Gweneth; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; one stepson, Norlan Rinehart; two brothers, Henry and Wallace Colyer Jr.; and one sister, Mary Shaw.
