Willard was the son of Learner Haskell and Ocie Alice [Millikan] Stone. He was born 10 Feb 1925 and died 27 Jan 2003. Willard's wife was Wanda[Davidson] Stone.
He was a member of Marion Baptist Church.

Willard is survived by three sons, Mike Stone of Marion, Danny Stone of Melbourne, Fla. and Mark Stone; two brothers, Charles Stone of Texas and Gene Stone of Calvert City; one sister, Oma Jewel Lockridge of Katy, Texas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda L. Stone, a son David Allen Stone [17 Feb 1948-01 Feb 1949],HIs parents, and a brother, Harry [Buddy] Stone of Henderson, KY.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. David Winders and the Rev. Darrell Clarke officiating, followed by burial in Mapleview Cemetery.

Willard was an avid golfer and regular at the local course. He and his brother Gene played many years in a golf league in Marion. Willard fought cancer and heart problems for several years, but he continued to play golf. In fact, he scored the second hole-in-one of his life just last summer before he died.
