COLUMBIA (Special) — Graveside services for Rence [sic Rance] Shipley, 57, of Gretna, were held at 2 p.m. today at Welcome Home Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Henderson officiating with burial to follow under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home here. Mr. Shipley died Wednesday at his residence following a long illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Shipley of Gretna; three sons, Raymond Shipley of Belle Chasse, Namond Shipley and Cal Shipley, both of Gretna; two sister[s], Mrs. Myrtle Downs of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Wanda Tomlinsn of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Joe Shipley and Earl Shipley, both of Houston, Tex. and six grandchildren.
