LINCOLNTON, N.C.

Tara JoLynn Zerbe, 31, of Lincolnton, formerly of Selinsgrove, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, Oct. 8, 2008, at Carolina's Medical Center, Lincolnton.
She was born Feb. 27, 1977, in Sunbury, Pa., a daughter of Russell and Ramona (Loss) Zerbe of Selinsgrove.

Tara graduated in 1995 from Selinsgrove Area High School, Selinsgrove, Pa. She graduated in 1997 from the School of Prophets, Rocky Mountain, Va., and she was a 2008 graduate of Catawba Valley Community College, Hickory. She returned to school in North Carolina in August for a master's degree in business.

Tara was employed as a planner/purchaser at Sabo USA, Lincolnton. She formerly worked at Cajah Corp., Hudson; Cataler North America, Lincolnton; and Hargraves, Mooresville.

She was an active member of Covenant Christian Church, Concordia, where she sang, taught children and youth and served in many other capacities. The church gave her family a Christian flag in her honor.

Tara enjoyed photography.

Surviving are four sisters, Tami J. English of Selinsgrove, Marla D. Gearhart and her husband Randy of Selinsgrove, Russella L. Fisher, of Sunbury and her fiance Mike Herman, and Kathy Jo Smith of Chambersburg, Pa.; six brothers, John R. English and his wife Pam of Northumberland, Pa., Keith V. English and his wife Ellen of Selinsgrove, Curtis V. English and his wife Teri of Sunbury, Russell Zerbe III and his wife Nancy of Millville, Pa., John C. Zerbe of Philadelphia and Brent L. Zerbe and his fiancee Amy Hill of Middleburg, Pa.; and a friend, Juan Blackwell of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Patrick Parker, of North Carolina.

Services were held in North Carolina on Oct. 13. She was buried in Hollybrook Cemetery, Lincolnton.

A memorial service will be conducted in her memory at 2 p.m. Nov. 1 in Christ Community United Methodist Church, Park and Fisher roads, Hummels Wharf, Pa., by Pastor Barry Robinson.
