Wife 2 Verla Ray Tippen (1911-2001)
Finis had two daughters with Verla:
Jane Wilson Barefield (1937-2003)
Judith Lois Wilson Marchant (1939-2010)
Finis & Verla had a cafe on the main highway going through Frankston. Quote from their daughter in a letter:
"They would give curb service and the infamous Bonnie & Clyde got curb service for coffee one day. The waitress that waited on them was somewhat shook up afterwards."
Finis died of throat cancer at the only veteran's hospital (at that time) located in Chicago. It was believed to have been caused by exposure to mustard gas during WWI.
About 16 years after Finis' death, Verla married Joseph A. Edwards (1908-1993)
