Ralph Herbert Fox, 23 years, single, farmer, born Rockbridge., County Father--D. J. Fox, Mother--Eliza Fox, Lou Jane Sweet Craig, 26yrs, widow, Father--Joseph Sweet, Mother--Margaret Sweet, Married by J. S. Gardner, September 4, 1894, Lexington, Rockbridge County, Virginia, USA.

Ralph was the youngest of the 14 children of David Jackson and Eliza Jane (Taylor) Fox, Ralph is listed on the 1880 census, Augusta County, as living with his parents. The 1900 and 1910 census lists Ralph as living in Decatur, Virginia, USA, Rockbridge County, owning his home and working as a section hand for the B. & O. Rail Road. He remained with the Rail Road until his retirement. Ralph married and helped Lula, a widow, raise her two living children by her first marriage to Samuel Alexander Craig, along with their three sons: a daughter died in infancy of pneumonia.
