Jamison, the son of Floyd Richard and Zelpha Mooney Bailey, married the daughter of Daniel Paris & Mary Jane Thompson Bailey, Virginia Estelline Bailey.
Both Jamison and Virginia are the children of CSA veterans.
The 1900 census records marriage length of 17 years.

Virginia and Jamison had twelve children.

He died at 8 p.m. on Feb. 13th and was buried on Feb. 15th. He was 84 yrs, 3 mos, and 10 days old. He is noted as being a lifelong resident of rural Matoaka, Rock District, and his occupation was FARMER.

The funeral director was Rowland Bailey.

Tollis Bartholomew, London Golden, Bernard, Zetta, Vadie, Clayton Estill, Laura Jane, Thurmond Kelsey, Levi Thompson, Essie Roscoe, Troy Hatfield, Bruce Clarence.

Zettie died of typhoid in 1909.

JAMISON BAILEY
Jamison "Uncle Jim" Bailey, 84, died at his home near Matoaka at 2:15 p.m. yesterday following a week's illness of pneumonia.
Born November 3, 1865 at Dott, Mr. Bailey was a son of the late Floyd and Sylvia Bailey, pioneer settlers of Mercer county. He was married in 1882 to the former Miss Virginia Bailey, who preceded him in death five years ago. A lifelong resident of Mercer county, he was a retired farmer.
Survivors include eight sons and two daughters: Thurman, Levi, Toll, and Clayton Bailey and Mrs. Laura Melvin, all of Matoaka; Essie and Bruce Bailey, Lashmeet; Mrs. Blanche Steele, Bluewell: Troy Bailey, Princeton: and Lunn Bailey, Bernardsville, N. J.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Matoaka Baptist church with the Reverends Edgar Sigmon and B. H. Stevens officiating. Interment will be in the family cemetery near Rock. The body will remain at the Bailey funeral home chapel in Matoaka.
