Grover Cleveland "Mutt" Anderson, age 81, of the Bending Chestnut Community, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2008.
Mr. Anderson and his wife, Geraldine Fox, Anderson, have operated Fox Grocery in the Bending Chestnut Community for many years. He was a Deacon for 34 years and long time member of Craigfield Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Preceded in death by parents, John Anderson (1883 - 1969) and Lizzie Anglin Anderson (1897 - 1966); brothers, Thomas, Randolph and Louis Anderson; sister, Ruby Baker.
Survived by wife of 59 years, Geraldine Fox Anderson; daughters, Jewel Dean Anderson, Gloria (Bryan) Dodd; son, Morris Anderson; grandson, Daniel (Jessica) and wife Jessica Anderson; great-grandchilden, Colton, Alyssa and Brooke Anderson; brother, J. C. (Gertrude) Anderson; sister, Audrey Baker; special caregiver, Janice Collins. Pallbearers: Daniel Anderson, Bryan Dodd. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2008, in the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at the Greenbrier Cemetery in Franklin, Tennessee.
