Age 77, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Saturday after a short illness. He was born August 3, 1885 in the Town of Glenmore, Brown County and has been a resident of Kaukauna most of his life.
He was employed at the Thilmany Paper Co. prior to his retirement 12 years ago.
Mr. Gehrke is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Renata) Hardy, Kaukauna; one brother, Albert, Denmark, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Reinhold Lisch, Milwaukee; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Kaukauna with Rev. Paul Oehlert officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna after 2 p.m. Sunday until 12 noon Monday and after 1 p.m. at the church until the hour of the service.
