MRS. WILLIAMS, WIDOW OF SC GOVERNOR, DIES
MYRTLE BEACH - Mrs. Virginia Allen Williams, widow of former S.C. Gov. Ransome J. Williams, died Monday in a local nursing home after a long illness.
She was born in Marion (now Dillon) County, a daughter of the late Rev. Joel I. and Helen Bass Allen.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. W. D. Anderson of Myrtle Beach and Mrs. Howell Wilson of Lake city; a sister, Mrs. C. D. Hodges of Mullins; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. today in Southeastern Memorial Gardens.
Bullard Funeral Home is in charge.
