JoAnn, age 79, passed away at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan. She was the daughter of E. Bryant Hon and Gertrude I. (Kelly) Hon. She was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Women's Army Corp (WAC) in the late 1950's. She married Jerry Kloppe on November 4, 1950, in Emporia, Virginia. She married Robert E. Beardsley on April 16, 1988, in Manhattan.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, her infant children, Gregory Kloppe, Geralyn Kloppe, and Mary Jean Kloppe, and her siblings, Larry Hon and Treva Lacey.
Survivors include her children, Gerard Kloppe, Jeri Ball, and Jo Lowe, her step-sons, Craig Beardsley and David Beardsley, her brother, Robert Hon, 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
