SHELBYVILLE - Andrew Raymond Murphy, 80, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at Masonic Home Shelbyville.

A native of Louisville, he was a Baptist, a veteran of the Korean War, and self employed in the maintenance and lawn care business.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Fendley Murphy of Christiansburg; sons Donald L. Murphy of Shelbyville, Ronald John Murphy of Bagdad, and Bobby Lee Murphy of Shelbyville; daughters Norma Grace Murphy of Christiansburg and Judy Ann Tipton of Mount Eden; a brother, Walter David Murphy of Jeffersontown; a sister, Gladys Marvin Winters of New Castle; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with the Rev. Jesse Baxter and the Rev. Kyle Wiley officiating. Interment will be in Cropper Cemetery. Visitation is 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hall-Taylor.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Bagdad Baptist Church.
