11 JUL 2022 SAC removing link to husband* (50027283) due to a mistaken identity/multiple persons with same or similar names; text as follows: "George C Summers is a spouse to Mary Elizabeth Schrimsher Kinsworthy. However, it is not George Summers 1845-1929. Please take off the date 1845-1929. Also, since George Summers 1845-1929 has a middle initial M in Indiana in the 1880 Indiana census (he was also known as George M D Summers) please take off the C. He has no connection to Mary Elizabeth Schrimsher Kinsworthy as his wife is Sarah Elizabeth Summers 1849-1926 and is buried in Pleasant View Cemetery close to her husband George Summers 1845-1929. They were in Kansas in 1885 and Alfalfa County OK in 1900 and up until his death. Please correct the 2 memorials if you can(.)" [Courtesy of FAG Contributor summersli.]
11 JUL 2022 Text of virtual flower left on the memorial of George Charles Summers: "George Charles Summers, second husband of Mary Elizabeth Schrimsher, a Cherokee. First husband Duncan D. Hall and 3rd Joseph Kenworthy. The Summers boys were enrolled in the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory. After the divorce we have almost (no) info on George or real records on where he was born."
18 JUL 2022 SAC with additional information: "His will and probate record #2966 in Craig Oklahoma says he died July 12 1918 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. There is a great deal of information on it so it is further proof George Summers 1845-1929 is not George C Summers. Ancestry has misread (or someone has) the C as a P so you will have to find it under George P and not George C.
You can now add his date of birth as well as date of death on the Find a Grave for Mary Elizabeth Kinworthy. If I remember correctly it would be 1847-1918."**∼Born at Cary's Ferry, Delaware District, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory before statehood.
