Mrs. John Kerwin

Mrs. John Kerwin, a resident of North, Java for over 50 years, passed away Nov. 8th, 1915. She survived her husband, who died three years ago. She leaves twp sisters, Mrs. A. G. Bald of Chicago, and Mrs. Frank Whelan of Silver Springs, and three brothers, M. H. and J. E. Kavanagh of Chicago, and Charles Kavanagh of North Java to mourn her loss.

She has been a sufferer almost all the time since her husband's death and has looked forward and wished for the time to come when they might be united in the'"Beyond".

She was a good friend and neighbor and this fact was attested to by the large attendance at her funeral which was held from St. Nicholas church, Nov. 11th, where a requiem mass was held and funeral sermon preached by Rev. Father Deck, the resident pastor. She was buried In St. Nicholas cemetery, where a great number of friends gathered to witness the last sad rites, given by the church to which she had been a life-long, faithful and devoted member.
