Father Airey's first assignment was in St. Columba parish, Buffalo. After nine years, he was appointed pastor of St. Francis Church in Corfu, and in 1917, he was transferred to St. Vincent. He built a new Church and a parochial school. His brother Rev. Eugene Airey was also a priest.
