Rev. Sebastian Airey, the pastor of St. Vincent Church in Attica, New York, died after a long illness. He prepared for the priesthood at Our Lady of the Angels, Niagara University and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, New York on March 13, 1897.
Father Airey's first assignment was in St. Columba parish, Buffalo. After nine years, he was appointed pastor of St. Francis Church in Corfu, and in 1917, he was transferred to St. Vincent. He built a new Church and a parochial school. His brother Rev. Eugene Airey was also a priest.
