DAVID RAY RITCHESON entered into eternal rest on July 1, 2007. David was born on October 13, 1988 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his parents, Albert and Laticia Galvan, brothers, Michael and Christopher Galvan, sisters, Kim, Keisha and Erica Ritcheson, grandparents, Andrew and Esther Galvan, Toby and Josie Monrrial, 5 aunts, 2 uncles and 11 cousins who all reside here in Houston and in Waco, Texas. He also had several close friends who reside in Spring, TX who will always be in his heart. David attended Benfer Elementary, Strack Jr. High and Klein Collins High School in Spring, Texas, where he would graduate from this month and go on to college. David survived a very brutal assault on April 22, 2006 and was on the road to recovery. In April, 2007, David testified in Congress in support of a federal hate crimes bill hoping to make a difference. He wanted to turn his own tragedy into something positive. Hopefully, the bill will be passed and David would have achieved his goal and it would be named 'David's Law'. David touched the hearts of so many and will be missed dearly. He will forever be in our hearts. We love you, David!
