Marie Wieske was born in East Prussia. She immigrated to the United States with her fiance, August Kirschnick, arriving in New York 12 Jun 1883. They married in Houston, Texas 1 Jul 1883. After the death of her husband, she married a second time, on 18 Jan 1906, to Adolph Rudolph Braun, who had previously been married to her sister Caroline. She is buried in Washington Cemetery along with her two husbands. Her death certificate names her Mrs. Mary Braun, although the newspaper named her with the Americanized version of her name, Mary Brown.
