Heart Attack Ends Life of Respected Man, A.M. Bringle
Another highly respected citizen passed to the great beyond, shortly after six o'clock Monday morning when Mr. A.M. Bringle, collapsed suddenly at his home and passed away immediately.
The deceased was appearantly as well as usual on Sunday which he spent at the Park with his son Charles and family . Monday morning he arose at the usual hour and went about his small chores, fed his chickens, etc. A neighbor spoke to him about six o'clock and he then seemed all right.
However, on returning to his house he suffered a fatal heart attack and death followed with shocking suddenness.
Abraham Manfred Bringle, was born April 12th 1861, on a farm in Harrison County, Indiana, the second son of William Laban and Sarah Floch Bringle. At an early age he moved with the family to a farm in the southwesten part of
Jasper county, where he grew to manhood.
On the fourth of March 1885, Mr. Bringle was united in marriage with Francis Emily Moffit of Surrey, Indiana, with whom he enjoyed over fifty years of happiness and useful living. This union was broken only a few month ago, when on the 28th of last December she was called to her final rest to wait for him.
After several years of farming near Mr. Ayr and Fair Oaks, Mr. and Mrs. Bringle moved into the latter town, where Mr. Bringle established himself in the meat business.
When the first rural mail service was instituted out of Fair Oaks, Mr. Bringle was the pioneeer carrier, and in this service he continued over twenty-four years, during which time he greatly endeared himself to his patrons, with his cheerful greetings, his fine fellowship and his wise counsel.
As citizens of the young town of Fair Oaks, both Mr. and Mrs. Bringle were looked upon as outstanding leaders in community upbuilding and welfare. Both were quite active in church work.
After retiring from the mail service, Mr. and Mrs. Bringle moved to Remington, where they lived for the past eight years until their passing. Mr. Bringle going to his rest about six o'clock Monday morning, August 20th, 1936 at the age of 75 years, three months and 29 days.
Mr. Bringle leaves behind him, one son, Charles A. Bringle, one daughter, Mrs. Harold H. Ward, and five grandchildren, all of Remington, also two brothers, W.D. Bringle, of Renssleaer, Ind., and J. Victor Bringle of Ortley, S. Dak., and one sister, Mrs. Frank L. Yeoman, of Hanna, Indiana. Also grieving his loss are a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives together with a host of friends. One brother, Ernest and one sister, Mrs. Mary Moffit, preceded him in death.
A member of the Remington M.E. Church, Mr. Bringle enjoyed a rich relgious experience, and he was a friend to all, both young and old. His many friends will greatly miss but long remember the cheerful greetings of "DAD" Bringle. His passing leaves a vacant place that will never be filled.
