Lorine Elizabeth Myers Nordland was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1930 as a glorious gift of her parents Helen and Russell Myers. She was the older of two children, her sister June Myers Donovan still lives in North Hills, PA with her husband Mike. Lorine, fondly referred to as Mom-Mom by her family, is survived by her six children, Rod, Craig, Cindy, Gary, and her twins Darlene and Darrell. In addition she has at the time of this entry 26 grandchildren, no doubt with some great grandchildren not too far off in the future. Her oldest granddaughter is 24 and married, the youngest of which is 3. In addition Lorine also has 1 niece and 2 nephews, Sandy, Michael, and John, and 3 grand nephews and one grand niece. Lorine was by far the strongest most kind and giving woman on this planet. She was incredibly soft-spoken, and gentle, but there is nothing she wouldn't do for her family. In the days where women did not raise families on their own she fought the tide to keep her and her six children together against great odds. She was a remarkable woman, and my personal hero. Should we all be as resilient and strong, but gentle and kind as Mom-mom was. Her legacy is strong within all who knew her, and all who will have learned of her through all of us who loved her. Mom-mom, you may be gone in some ways, but you’ll never be gone from our hearts or our memories. We love you very much.
