Elizabeth was the daughter of Greenfield Larrabee and Phoebe Brown. She married Joshua Hempstead about 1669, and after his death married John Edgecombe.
Her son Joshua writes upon her death, 4 Dec 1727: "Mother was taken violently with ye same pain in her Breast as She had Thursday night was Sevennight and She died Sudently with it In less yn a quarter of an hour. Born in April 1652 aged 75 3/4 almost. I only had Abigail & Eliza Edgcumbe with her about 5 Clock in ye morning."
The following day Joshua writes: "aftern at home. wee buried mother att Sunset."
