Mrs. Estabrook Dead
Funeral Held Tuesday Afternoon
At the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Ladd, occurred on Monday morning, December 11th, the death of Mrs. Augusta E. Estabrook, aged 78 years, after a lingering illness from old age and the infirmities peculiar thereto. The funeral was held from the residence Tuesday afternoon, Rev. R. D. Ellerby of the Episcopal church officiating. The burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Augusta E. Franklin was born in Colerain, Mass., in 1827. At Brattleboro, Vt., she was united in marriage to Royal Gladden Estabrook. At an early date they came to Marshalltown where, until the death of Mr. Estabrook in 1889, she made her home. Since then she resided with her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Ladd in this city. Mrs. Augusta E. Estabrook, mother of Mrs. W. A. Ladd, died of paralysis at the home of her daughter, on South Ninth street, Monday morning, Dec. 11, aged 78 years. Funeral was held from the residence at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, and the body buried in Oak Hill cemetery. Rev. Richard Ellerby, of the Episcopal church officiated. The pallbearers were J.J. Klopp, E. J. Sondrol, A. D. Root, C. E. Hobein, E. E. Hartung and A. O. Peterson.

August E. Franklin was born Oct. 12, 1827, at Calerain, Mass. She was married to Royal Gladden Estabrook of Battleboro, Vermont. At an early date they came to Marshalltown, Iowa, where she lived until the death of her husband in 1889. Since then she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Ladd.
