Great Grandmother Anna Mariah Hurst-Coe is buried in a very pretty, well kept cemetery called Plesant Ridge, located close to Borden, Clark, Indiana. The fields around the cemetery are flourishing with crops, waving in the wind.
Her grave is the last gravestone on the back row in the far right corner of the cemetery. Buried around her are her brother-in-law James Coe's wife Nancy McKinley's people.... and there are many, many children and babies graves in the cemetery.
Great grandmother's gravestone is damaged but still a beautiful piece of art and still readable after one hundred and thirty-five years.
My Hurst cousin, Marie Hurst Lewis, decendent of Anna's brother Perry Hurst) and I put a bouquet of pink roses on her grave. A very sweet moment occurred when we discovered that her stone had a pink color to it and the stone and flowers were beautiful together. Awesome, and I am sure "Great Grandmother Anna" was pleased with the pretty flowers and our visit to the cemetery.

Of coarse there is no comparison here on this earth to where she is in "Heaven" as there must be millions of flowers there for her to enjoy. What a wonderful happening it will be when I meet her for the first time. Will I be shy? No,no... I will throw my arms around her and give her a big Texas hug.
