In early life she moved to Illinois, locating in Wayne County near Round Prairie, where the greater part of her life has been spent. She was united in marriage, March 17, 1859, with James Malone. Fifteen children were born to this union, four of whom died in infancy and one daughter, Susan, died at the age of 21 years. At the age of 44 years she professed faith in Christ and united with the General Baptist Church at Bailey. She remained a faithful member of this congregation throughout the remainder of her life.
