Edgar L Boone, 67, Troutville postmaster, died at his home at Troutville Sunday night. He was a member of the Baptist church and of Boone Lodge AFAM. A native of Troutville, he was a son of the late Dr and Mrs George Boone. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Nora Painter Boone; a daughter, Mrs Jesse Moore, Troutville, one brother, John Boone, Fincastle, and two sisters; Mrs H C Snyder, Troutville, and Mrs Samuel Stone, Roanoke; and one grandson. Funeral services were held at the Troutville Baptist Church Tuesday at 1 am by the Rev Jesse Tate. Burial was in the Troutville Cemetery with Masonic Lodge in charge of the graveside service.
