MECHANICVILLE Mary R. Curto , 91, a lifelong resident of Mechanicville, died on Monday, June 15, 2009 at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa. Born on August 11, 1917 in Mechanicville, N.Y. to the late Nicholas and Lucy Veraldi Curto , Mary attended Mechanicville Public Schools and was a communicant of Assumption St. Paul Church in Mechanicville. During World War II, Mary worked at the American Locomotive in Schenectady, then worked for Marshall Ray in Troy as well as at the Korrell Dress Factory in Mechanicville. Mary enjoyed sewing, bingo and, most of all, spending time with her family. Survivors include her brother, Frank Audi of Greenwich, N.Y. and her sister-in-law, Roberta Curto of Mechanicville; also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary , in addition to her parents, was predeceased by her brothers, Salvatore, Pasquale and Nicholas Curto and her two sisters, Anna Grimaldi and Carmella Fuschino. Calling hours will be on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Dunn Funeral Home, 319 Park Avenue in Mechanicville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Assumption St. Paul Church, William Street in Mechanicville. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Mechanicville. Memorial contributions in Mary 's name may be made to Patient Activity Fund at Maplewood Manor, 149 Ballston Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
