This Daniel McNeill was the son of James McNeill of Rockfish Creek and his wife Elizabeth McNeill. It is believed James and Elizabeth are both buried in this cemetery. Elizabeth was the daughter of the Argyll colonist Hector McNeill, called "Hector Carver". Daniel married Elizabeth McNeill (died 1857 and buried in Carroll Parish, LA), daughter of Archibald "Archie Ghar" McNeill and Barbara Patterson who are also buried in the cemetery, although Archie Gar's grave is unmarked.
