Debbie married David Alan Fuller October 2, 1970 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois while David was a member of the Air Force. Deborah graduated from the O'Fallon, Illinois high school in 1972. She attended Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois for several years but left about 6 months before earning a degree. She and David were divorced in 1974. For several years, Deborah worked as a Counselor at a substance abuse clinic in Wood River, Illinois. At age 26 she was diagnosed with cancer. Despite successful treatment at that time, she succumbed to the disease 5 years later, at age 31, on May 29, 1986 in Rolla, Missouri.
