Alma N. Kaiser, 100, died Sunday, August 4, 1996, at the Vinton Lutheran Home in Vinton.
Alma was born on February 18, 1896, in Buchanan County, the daughter of David and Ellen Bender Nabholz. She attended the Brandon Schools. On October 10, 1918, she and Phillip R. Kaiser were married in Vinton. Mrs. Kaiser was a home maker who was actively involved in farming in rural Independence until retiring in 1986. She was a member of several local clubs.
Survivors include one daughter, Arlene Sturtz of Vinton; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was peceded in death by her husband, Phillip; her parents; one son, Harold "Sam" Kaiser; one daughter, Viola Neal; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held (today) August 7, at 11 a.m., at White Funeral Home in Quasqueton with Dr. Dennis Morey officiating.
Honorary Casket Bearers are Michelle Sturtz, Adam Sturtz, Kelly Sturtz, Matthew Sturtz, Jennifer Sturtz, Jessica Connell, Shane Connell, Benjamin Connell, and Carrie Connell. Private committal services will be held at Wilson Cemetery in Independence.
White Funeral Home of Quasqueton is in charge of arrangements.
