LCpl. Davidson attended high schools in both El Paso, Texas and Silver Spring, Maryland. As an eleventh grade student in El Paso, he played football on a team that won the state championship. He enlisted in the Marines in December 1, 1965. Between school & military service, he worked for about a year as a fireman on the Patapsco & back River Railroad at the Bethlehem Steel Co., Sparrows Point.
