Mrs. Rosanna Elizabeth Hargrove, 85, was born Jan. 17, 1856 in Van Buren, AR. and died at the home of her son Grover C. Hargrove, 3 miles S.E. of Severy, Kansas. She was a daughter of Charles Albert Wells and Phoebe Annie Morgan. She married John L. Hargrove, 26 Sep 1880, McClennan Co, TX, as his 2nd wife. Her husband preceded her in death on March 25, 1929. She was buried in the Civil War Section beside her husband. Mrs. Hargrove was the eldest of nine children, of whom only three sisters survive; Mrs. Mary Ann Hays of Ardmore, OK, Mrs. Liza Elmore of Kiowa, OK, and Mrs. Melissa Hargrove of Chickasha, OK. She was the mother of nine children, five having preceded her in death. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Jackson and Mrs. Bell Ficklin both of Arkansas City, KS; two sons, Charles C. Hargrove of Arkansas City, KS and Grover C. Hargrove of Severy, KS. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
