John L. Hargrove, 89, died Monday at his home west of Elm Springs, AR. He was a son of David Hargrove. He married (1) Martha E. Keenan, 11 Jul 1866, Dallas Co, Texas, daughter of Thomas Keenan. His wife died in 1880. To this union were born 5 children, the surviving children are Tommie Hargrove of Chickasha, OK. Mrs. Sallie Evans of Skiatook, OK, Mrs. Emma Castellow of Caddo, OK and Frank Hargrove of Los Angeles, CA. He married (2) Rosanna Elizabeth Wells, dau of Charles Albert Wells and Phoebe Annie Morgan, 26 Sep 1880, McLennan Co, TX. To this union were born 9 children, the surviving children being, Charlie Hargrove, Mrs. Josie Jackson, Grover Hargrove, and Mrs. Belle Ficklin, all of Arkansas City, KS. All the children were present for the funeral but Frank and Emma. He is survived by his wife, four sons, four daughters, 32 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
