Doris L. Lawrence, 81, of Grandview, MO, passed away on October 27, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House.
She was born July 29, 1929 in Hiawatha, KS to Lilah and Charles Schrader.
A lifelong resident of Grandview, MO, she was wed to Robert E. Lawrence on Feb. 6, 1954.
An interesting and passionate conversationalist she will be remembered for her loves of walking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Connie L. Johnson, John R. Lawrence, Diane L. Summerson, Timothy E. Lawrence and Susie A. Ray, nine grandchildren, Christopher, Shaun, Joseph, Aundreah, Jacqueline, Jereme, Erik, Emily and Dennis, nine great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Drake, Jalyn, Kaleigh, Cadence, Claire, Allison, Lukas and Natalie, and a brother, Donald Schrader, Austin, Texas, and a sister, Donna Bukosky. Wichita.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, a daughter Charlene, a brother, Doyle Schrader, a sister, Darlene Tinklepaugh and a grandson, John R. Summerson.
A visitation service will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home located at 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Mo., on Oct. 29, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. The burial service will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 30, 2010 at Sugar Creek Christian Church, Rushville, Mo. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery. Please join the family after the service for visitation and refreshments at the Ladies Aid Hall (next door to the Sugar Creek Church).
