Uncle Lum was the son of Charles Alexander Craycroft & Martha Hamilton. He married Mary Catherine Boarman on 21 June 1859 & they had 11 children. He later married Belle Carrico. Uncle Lum was a farmer in Meade Co., KY. In 1860, he had a valuation of $10,445, a considerable amount for a man of 23 years old at that time.
