OLIVER , JAMES HENRY
Died 1:50 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 1993, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 66, a native of Model, Tenn., and a resident of Denham Springs. He was a retired State-Times and Morning Advocate machinist. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, decorations and citations received were the EAME Theater with three bronze stars, the good conduct medal, victory medal and the purple heart.
Visiting was held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel, 11 a.m. until religious services at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, conducted by Dr. Barry Foster and the Rev. John Causey. Burial in Denham Springs Memorial Park.
Survived by wife, Marie Franks Oliver,Denham Springs; three sons, Jimmy Oliver,Baton Rouge, Larry Oliver , Denham Springs, and Tommy Oliver,Murray, Ky.; a daughter-in-law, Priscilla Latino Oliver,Baton Rouge; a brother, Richard Wayne Oliver, Murray, Ky.; a grandson, Charlie Oliver,Denham Springs; and special friends, Mrs.Cannie Strickland and Bill Addison.
Preceded in death by parents, Otho and
Maggie Oliver; a daughter, Susan Oliver; and a brother, Melvin Oliver. Pallbearers will be Bill Addison, Doug and Norman Strickland, Eddie Madsen, Robert Liptak and Ladd Spring. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Kahl, Doug Kelly, Tom Holt and Earl Hammack. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Denham Springs.
